"Our responsibility is to form a new majority in the town council but not with those who obstructed the work of the previous council," SDP official Igor Dragovan said, adding that there would be no talks with the HDZ.
At the early polls held last Sunday, the SDP-HNS coalition won 36.44 percent of the vote. The coalition of the HDZ and Peasant Party (HSS) mustered 25.35 percent of the vote. The Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS) won 14.65 percent of the vote and the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) Dr Ante Starcevic 9.86 percent.
