The talks focused on the development of the Croatian armed forces and their involvement in peacekeeping operation worldwide.
Marekovic said that the Croatian armed forces were being reduced in size and that an effective core was being created to meet its fundamental national task -- protect the country's constitutional order -- and to perform tasks within NATO.
The Slovene delegation visited the Produkt factory, which manufactures HS pistols, and the Kamensko barracks, where they attended a demonstration of the operation of mine removal machines and other heavy machinery operated by the Karlovac-based Croatian Army 33rd Engineers Brigade.
