Safer Internet Day is organised every year on the second day of the second week in February to promote safer and more responsible use of online technologies and mobile phones, especially amongst children and young people across the world. The practice of marking Safer Internet Day was introduced in 2004 by INSAFE, the European network for raising awareness about a more responsible use of the Internet.
On 5 February, the Central Office for e-Croatia presented projects and activities for this purpose. The presentation was held in downtown Zagreb with a state secretary at the Central Office for e-Croatia, Igor Lucic, stressing that knowledge was the only efficient tool in the fight against cyber bullying.
