"Germany's intention is to contribute to Bosnia and Herzegovina's stability and to its efforts to integrate into Euro-Atlantic institutions, which is in the interest of the entire region," Covic was quoted by the local Bosnian media as saying on Saturday.
On Friday, this Bosnian Croat politician held talks with Heusgen in Berlin on the reforms in Bosnia and its road towards the EU.
"It is crucial to ensure the constitutional equality of Croats with the Bosniak and Serb peoples. Only the well-regulated system suits Croats, as it will in the best way protect that least numerous people," Covic said.
Earlier this weak, Sulejman Tihic, the leader of the Bosniak Party of Democratic Action (SDA) also met the German Chancellor's foreign affairs adviser for talks in Berlin.
Heusgen is expected to hold meetings with Bosnian Serb leader Milorad Dodik and Bosnian Social Democrat chief Zlatko Lagumdzija next week.
