"I am confident and membership of the OIC is in the interest of all peoples in Bosnia-Herzegovina," Tihic said after talks with OIC secretary general Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, who arrived in Bosnia for a three-day visit.
Tihic said there was no full consent in Bosnia about the country's membership of the OIC, adding however, the issue could be discussed after the elections in October. Bosnian Serb officials have harshly opposed Bosnia's membership of the OIC.
The OIC Islamic Development Bank has so far granted 30 million US dollars to Bosnia.
