SARAJEVO, June 15 (Hina) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of
Ministers on Thursday appointed a commission in charge of investigating war
events in the Sarajevo area from 1992 to 1995 and establishing the exact number
of victims and what happened to them. The commission is comprised
of 10 members, three each from Bosnia's three constituent peoples and one
minority representative. Ivica Marinovic, deputy minister for human rights and
refugees, was appointed chairman for a four-month term.
The commission was founded at the suggestion of the parliamentary lower
house after months-long requests by deputies from the Serb entity to examine
the suffering of Serbs in the Sarajevo area during the war.
