ZAGREB, June 24 (Hina) - Some 250 people from Croatia and 13 European countries, escorted by some 500 police officers, took a walk down the streets of Zagreb at the first International Pride parade on Saturday.

European countries, escorted by some 500 police officers, took a walk down the
streets of Zagreb at the first International Pride parade on Saturday. The parade, which is the fifth Zagreb Pride event, was organised by the
lesbian association "Kontra".
There were no reports of incidents at the event which was attended by
representatives of gay associations from Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Poland, Slovakia, Romania,
Bulgaria, Lithuania and Latvia.
