Rehn emphasised the progress Croatia had made in the process of negotiations on full membership of the European Union, assessing that Croatia should complete the negotiating process before the turn of the decade.
That process further depends solely on Croatia and its readiness to implement all the necessary reforms, Rehn said.
Rehn congratulated the European Movement Croatia on all its activities directed at taking Croatia closer to the community of European nations.
The main topic discussed by the Federal Council of the European Movement International was the building of a framework for future EU enlargement. Almost all participants in the meeting expressed their wish for the enlargement process to continue, saying that it should not stop with Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia.
