The implementation of the EUR450,000 project started in October 2005 and was to be completed in January 2007. About EUR6 million of CARDS funds has so far been allocated for the market competition protection system in Croatia.
The purpose of the project, conducted by the Italian firm Gruppo Soges SpA, is to strengthen the capacities of the Croatian Agency for the Protection of Market Competition in enforcing the law and market competition policy and in protecting business enterprises and consumers. It should also help raise public awareness of the importance of market competition protection.
