Airlines has transported nearly 14.2 million passengers since its first flight
in 1991, the company said in a statement marking the 15th anniversary of its
first commercial flight. Croatia Airlines made its first commercial
flight on 5 May 1991, with a rented MD 82 aircraft flying from the capital
Zagreb to the southern coastal city of Split.
The company's fleet today consists of four Airbus 320, four Airbus 319
and three ATR planes, which transported a record 1.55 million passengers in
2005. Croatia Airlines expects this number to grow to 1.6 million passengers in
2006.
