A committee headed by President of the Republic Stjepan Mesic, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks met last week to discuss how the events would be marked.
It was agreed that Parliament would hold formal sessions to mark the 15th anniversary of the referendum on independence, which was held on 19 May 1991, Statehood Day, which is observed on 25 June, and Independence Day on 8 October.
The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of the Interior will organise three-day ceremonies starting on 26 May to mark the 15th anniversary of the first review of the Croatian Armed Forces, which took place at the stadium of the Zagreb Football Club on 28 May 1991.
