ZAGREB, April 25 (Hina) - The Croatian Farmers Association has
urged the INA oil company to lower the prices of blue diesel and the government
to issue a comparative report on the movement of oil prices on the world
market and in Croatia, as well as to issue a report on INA's profits. In a statement issued on Tuesday the association claimed that INA and its
owners were making extra profit
at the expense of the Croatian public, farmers and fishermen.
The price of blue diesel in late 2003 was 2.35 kuna and now it is 4.52
kuna, the association said, adding that the growth of oil prices in Croatia
threatened the existence of farmers, fishermen and other members of the public,
while INA was making profit.
