Bacic said that following the introduction of new measures in yachting tourism aimed at preventing illegal charters, stepping up ecology protection standards in the Adriatic and navigation safety, the Ministry of the Sea, Tourism and Development last year began drafting a yachting tourism development study which would provide the foundation for an integral strategy of sustainable yachting tourism development in Croatia.
Bacic said the government would also take a position on the study.
He underlined that close attention would be paid to seeing to it that new berths be built only in existing harbours and to providing special harbours for mega yachts and the jet set, which he said were increasingly present in Croatia.
