Construction works will start on April 3, and since this is the last agreed section which should be built in six months, the Pula-Karlovac gas pipeline will be completed in early October, the company said.
The completion of construction works will be followed by connecting, testing, technical check-ups and adjustment to the existing gas supply system and connection to gas fields in the northern Adriatic.
Works on the 190-kilometre, 90 million euro gas pipeline started in mid-January and they are being carried out in four stages.
The Habau-Ghizzoni consortium builds three sections and a Croatian consortium one section of the pipeline. The construction of the pipeline will ensure direct supply of natural gas from gas fields in the northern Croatian Adriatic to Istria, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, and Karlovac counties and, at a later stage, to Lika and Dalmatia counties.
