Cavic and Tadic agreed that stability, economic development and European prospects of the region required the solving of war crimes issues and efficient cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, the statement said.
During his visit to Belgrade, Cavic also held talks with Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica. The two officials talked about Bosnia's suit against Serbia and Montenegro before the International Court of Justice in The Hague. Kostunica said the suit was groundless.
The suit is contentious also from the legal point of view because it was not filed in line with the Constitution of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is why the case has been brought before the Constitutional Court, Kostunica said.
