SARAJEVO, March 19 (Hina) - Around 3,000 people on Saturday held a rally in Bijeljina, northern Bosnia-Herzegovina, protesting against Bosnia-Herzegovina's lawsuit against Serbia and Montenegro for aggression and genocide, which is being discussed before the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague.

The rally, organised by NGOs from the Bosnian Serb entity, was not attended by any senior officials although their arrival had been announced. Representatives of associations gathering Serb war veterans, disabled persons and refugees held speeches accusing Bosnian Muslim politicians of inciting hatred against Serbs.

Before the rally, the protesters observed a minute of silence in tribute to the deceased former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic, carrying his photos and photos of the two most wanted fugitives from the Hague tribunal, Radovan Karadzic and Ratko Mladic.

Along with the protesters in Bijeljina, some people in Banja Luka too expressed interest in having Milosevic buried in the Serb entity. Residents of Banja Luka lit candles and wrote farewell messages in the central city square during the day.

Yesterday's commemoration to Milosevic in Belgrade was covered live by several local TV stations.

The Socialist Party of Republika Srpska confirmed during the day that it had organised a trip to Belgrade for Milosevic's supporters wishing to attend his funeral who left in some 20 buses.
