Speaking to Croatian reporters in Dublin, where he arrived for a two-day visit to Ireland, Sander said that he had presented a platform for the judicial reform on 23 December 2003 when he presented his government's programme.
"The (relevant) part of the government's programme is a part of the Croatian Democratic Union's (HDZ) platform and we won the elections thanks to that platform," said Sanader, who is also the chief of the ruling HDZ party.
"As regards the anti-corruption strategy, it has been drawn up and we have agreed with the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences (HAZU) to hold three round table discussions on the matter. The two discussions have already been held. The third is scheduled for 10 March and there are no delays. After that the draft document is to be discussed by the Government and the Croatian Parliament," he added.
Sanader dismissed claims which former Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt expressed in her interview with the U.S. Wall Street Journal newspaper.
He reiterated that the only reason why he sacked her was a crisis of identity in the political party - Democratic Centre (DC) - whose leader is Skare Ozbolt.
According to Sanader, the decision of the European Commission to reschedule the start of an in-depth analysis of Croatian judiciary for September had not been linked by his decision to dismiss Skare Ozbolt and appoint the new Justice Minister, Ana Lovrin.
