The lawsuit was filed on 13 October as Norac and his defence team believe that there are several reasons to declare Josipovic's decision unlawful.
The plaintiff holds that the entire procedure in stripping Norac of rank was conducted incompetently and unlawfully and that the rank could not be taken away from him in the way president Josipovic did it.
On 9 September, the president signed the decision to take away Norac's rank because he was found guilty of war crimes against civilians.
Norac is serving his 12-year term in the Lipovica-Popovac detention facility.
