Croatian Science, Education and Sports Minister Dragan Primorac took part in the conference, at which he also met Slovenia's Minister of Higher Education and Technology, Jure Zupan, and the minister in charge of the school system and sports, Milan Zver.
Primorac told Hina that Croatia had been short-listed as a potential host of a ministerial conference on education, to be held in 2009.
The CEEPUS, which was established in 1995, covers Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Serbia and Montenegro, and Slovenia. The programme is based on the same principles as similar EU programmes Socrates and Erasmus. The programme serves for the exchange of students and professors among scientific institutions and universities.
