Bosnian Veterinary Authority, JozoBagaric, told Hina.
MOSTAR, Feb 13 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina on Monday banned
imports from Slovenia of all types of poultry, wild fowl and eggs for human
consumption following reports of an outbreak of avian influenza in that
country, the head of the Bosnian Veterinary Authority, Jozo Bagaric, told
Hina. Bosnia-Herzegovina has also banned poultry and wild fowl
imports from Bulgaria, Greece and Italy because of reported bird flue cases in
those countries, he added.
Bagaric said that relevant Bosnian services were stepping up measures
to prevent an outbreak of avian influenza in the country.
