BANJA LUKA, Feb 4 (Hina) - Republika Srpska President Dragan Cavic
on Saturday told reporters that Milorad Dodik, leader of the Alliance of
Independent Social Democrats (SNSD), was named prime minister-designate. Dodik had been prime minister of the Bosnian Serb entity from January 1998
to January 2001.
On January 26 the entity parliament gave a vote of no confidence in the
previous government led by Pero Bukejlovic, at the proposal of the SNSD.
Dodik is expected to propose the composition and platform of the future
government within 40 days.
