The committee supported the government's plan to duly inform the public through the media about what EU membership would bring.
Assistant Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Mario Horvatic described the media as important partners of the government in two-way communication with the public.
He said that the media should provide a realistic picture of the European Union, with all advantages and disadvantages of full membership.
Horvatic said that the government would take into account everything that fuelled fear and doubt about EU membership.
Parliament convenes on Wednesday for its first session this year.
