The Foundation was presented by the President of the Board, Dunja Vidosevic, members of the Board, including Igor Zidic, lawyers Ivan Curkovic and Ante Zupic, and its founders Staff Brigadier Zeljko Sucic and Pakostane Mayor Milivoj Kurtov.
Dunja Zloic-Gotovina, General Gotovina's wife and one of the founders, did not attend the ceremony because she was on a visit to her husband in The Hague.
Vidosevic said that the Foundation would operate "in accordance with the law and in a transparent fashion."
The Foundation expects to raise funds from private citizens, big donors and the Croatian diaspora. All members of the Board work without pay. Members are bound by the Statute to pay annual contributions into the Foundation's accounts -- natural persons not less than KN500 (EUR70) and legal persons at least KN10,000 (EUR1,350).
The marketing firm Maksima, owned by Ivan Racan, the son of Social Democratic Party leader Ivica Racan, was hired to organise the launch ceremony.
