The call is part of a draft report on European Union enlargement which refers to countries involved in the process, Croatia being one, and the European Parliament is expected to take a position on it at a future plenary session, the Slovene news agency STA said.
The document notes Croatia's progress in regional cooperation, relations with neighbouring states and within regional initiatives, but also calls on it to invest additional efforts in closing the remaining outstanding issues, notably those referring to the border and ownership.
STA said the draft report was adopted only in a third attempt, the main problem having been the mention of an alternative to full EU membership for accession candidates, likely due to Turkey.
