Real estate prices moving downward in Croatian capital and coastal area

ZAGREB, Oct 3 (Hina) - The average requested price for real estate in Croatia fell by 1.2 percent in September from August, and it drooped by 5.3 percent at the annual level, the CentarNekretnina real estate company reported this past week.

In the Croatian capital of Zagreb, the requested average prices fell 1.3 percent this September on the month and by 6.1 percent on the year.

In the Croatian Adriatic region, the monthly fall in average requested prices was 1.1 percent and 4.1 percent year on year.

CentarNekretnina took into account 428,000 requested prices to get the average price.

In Zagreb, price trends have greatly depended on the locations of flats and houses.

The average requested price for flats in the Croatian capital was EUR 1,818 per square metre in September, going down by 0.9 percent from August and by 4.7 percent from September 2009.

The average requested price for houses in the city and its surroundings was EUR 1,157 per square metre, down 3.1 percent on the month and by 11.2 percent on the year.

The average requested price for summer cottages and resort condominiums in the Adriatic region came to EUR 1,934 per square metre, down by 0.9 percent from August and by 3.5 percent from September 2009.
