The Air Force commander, Major General Vlado Bagaric, acquainted the committee's delegation with the organisation, tasks and state of affairs in this branch of the military, the Defence Ministry said in a press release.
Sprem said the committee should lobby for not reducing the military budget.
The deputy chief-of-staff in the Croatian army, Lieutenant General Slavko Baric, said he believed that this parliamentary committee would support the budget for the defence sector.
Baric pointed out that this budget also funded activities such as fire-fighting, transport of emergency patients by air, and assistance in natural disasters.
