ZAGREB, Jan 23 (Hina) - Croatia's top officials on Monday held a round of working consultations on the country's accession negotiations with the European Union with an emphasis placed on the topic of free movement of goods and capital, including real estate sale.

After the talks, the host of today's consultations, Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said that state-owned real estate and land would not be on sale, but that authorities would grant concessions on state-owned land and facilities.

With regard to the sale of of privately-owned property and real estate, the government would set up an inter-ministerial task force in charge of drawing up a strategy and relevant laws regulating this sector, Sanader was quoted in a government's press release as saying.

Consultations will be in the future held also on other important topics such as the adjustment of the national legislation to the European Union standards regarding agriculture, environmental protection, market competition etc.

Present at today's talks were President Stjepan Mesic, Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks, the head of the national committee for monitoring the Croatia-EU negotiations, Ivica Racan, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic and other officials.

They discussed the current process of screening the level of the adjustment of Croatia's laws to EU standards, and the implementation of a strategy aimed at informing Croatian citizens of the Croatia-EU negotiations.
