The seminar, organised by the Croatian Chamber of the Economy (HGK), heard that economic cooperation between Croatia and Sweden was good but that its potential had not been fully developed.
From 1993 to 2004, Sweden invested USD115 million in Croatia, with the Ericsson company being a major investor. Other companies investing in Croatia are AB Elektrolux, Scania Sverige (Scania Croatia) and Assidoman.
Croatian furniture maker 'Tvin' from the northern town of Virovitica is cooperating with Ikea.
An increasing number of Swedes come to Croatia for holidays.
However, trade between the two countries is still unsatisfactory, Dunja Konjevod of the HGK said at the seminar.
In the first 11 months of 2005, Croatia's exports to the Scandinavian country totalled USD75.5 million, a 27 percent drop from the same period of 2004. Imports from Sweden fell by 13 percent to USD198 million.
