MOSTAR, Jan 16 (Hina) - The Bosnian veterinary service has issued
an instruction to all airports and border crossings in the country to step up
control of passengers and goods, particularly those arriving from Turkey, the
head of the service, Jozo Bagaric, said on Monday. The decision was
made in light of the appearance of a deadly avian influenza virus in Turkey.
Bosnia-Herzegovina has 56 border crossings and ten of them have
veterinary inspections, which have been instructed to increase control, notably
of food products, Bagaric said.
