Cruise ship passengers spent a total of 371 days in Croatia, up 40 per cent compared to the first half of 2006, or 1.7 days on average.
The largest number of foreign cruisers -- 97, or 44.7 per cent -- arrived in June, carrying 110,000 passengers, or 50.3 per cent of all the cruise passengers.
Dubrovnik saw the largest number of foreign cruise vessels docking in its harbour -- 194, followed by Korcula with 40 cruisers, Split with 39, Zadar with 36, Pula with 30, Hvar with 19, Mljet with 13, Ploce, Rijeka and Sibenik with 9 each, and Trogir with only one visit.
The largest number of cruise boats -- 45 -- flew the flag of the Bahamas, 23 came from Italy, 22 from Panama, 21 from France, 20 from Portugal, 16 from Malta, 15 from the Netherlands, and 12 from St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Cruisers also displayed the flags of Great Britain, Bermuda, Finland, Greece, Jamaica, Japan, Luxembourg, the Marshall Islands, and Germany.
