Huber told reporters after the meeting that Bavaria fully supported Croatia's efforts to join the European Union, expressing his satisfaction with the progress Croatia had made in implementing reforms.
Vukelic was heading a Croatian government and business delegation. Earlier in the day, a Bavarian-Croatian economic forum was held, and representatives of 11 Croatian, mainly metal processing, companies held individual talks with representatives of some 100 Bavarian firms.
A large Bavarian delegation was due to make a reciprocal visit to Croatia in early October, which the two ministers said would be an opportunity to agree details of the projects discussed today.
Trade with Bavaria makes up about 20 per cent of Croatia's overall trade with Germany. Croatia is among the ten most important trade partners of this most developed German region.
