Explaining its decision, the court said there was no evidence for the allegations in the indictment against Mirsad Siljak, Sabahudin Operta, Muhamed Frljak, Mensudin Operta, Muris Ajanovic and Alija Cizma.
Dissatisfied with the decision, prosecutor Branislav Tomas announced an appeal with the Supreme Court of the Bosnian Federation. In a statement carried by the web portal Pincom Info, Tomas said the six Bosniaks were acquitted by a monoethnic panel of judges of the Cantonal Court in Zenica comprised of Bosnian Muslims.
The trial was approved by the Hague war crimes tribunal.
