Further adjusting national legislation to EU standards, the government adopted a new decree on export insurance, and was informed of the conclusion of negotiations with the World Bank which will support a Tax Administration modernisation project with a EUR 50 million loan.
Only a well organised state administration, in this case the Tax Administration and Customs, show this government's firm wish to fight corruption, said Finance Minister Ivan Suker.
The government today also endorsed a draft national strategy for equating opportunities for the disabled from 2007 to 2015.
The government forwarded to parliament a bill ratifying the Council of Europe's Convention on Actions against Trafficking in Human Beings. Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said Croatia had already adopted all the standards set by the convention.
Croatia registered 62 cases of trafficking in humans since 2002, including eight victims this year.
