ZAGREB, May 23 (Hina) - The chairman of the Croatian parliamentary
European Integration Committee, Neven Mimica, met a delegation of the Slovene
committee on European affairs in Zagreb on Wednesday for talks on bilateral
relations and Croatia's drawing closer to EU membership, the Sabor said in a
statement. The head of the Slovene delegation, Anton Kokalj, said
that Slovenia, as a European Union member, advocated that Croatia should join
the bloc as soon as possible.
The talks also addressed the possibility of the two parliamentary
committees cooperating in joint projects. The two sides concluded that
outstanding border issues between the two states could not undermine bilateral
relations.
