SIBENIK, Sept 14 (Hina) - A multipurpose playground was inaugurated
outside the Homeland Thanksgiving primary school in the southern town
of Knin on Tuesday. The construction of the HRK 837,000 facility was
funded by the town authorities, the United Nations' Development
Program (UNDP) and the Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund
(MDG-F).
In attendance at today's ceremony were the UNDP Permanent Representative to Croatia, Louisa Vinton, the UN MDG-F representative to Croatia, Hans Risser, Spanish Ambassador Manuel Salazar, and representatives of the local authorities.
A total of 1,200 children are enrolled in this school.
