WASHINGTON, May 23 (Hina) - Croatia's minister for war veterans' affairs, Jadranka Kosor, who is visiting the United States, on Tuesday discussed care for war veterans with US Congressmen Mike Michaud and Vic Snyder, chairmen of two
subcommittees for veterans' affairs at the House of Representatives.
WASHINGTON, May 23 (Hina) - Croatia's minister for war veterans'
affairs, Jadranka Kosor, who is visiting the United States, on Tuesday
discussed care for war veterans with US Congressmen Mike Michaud and Vic
Snyder, chairmen of two subcommittees for veterans' affairs at the House of
Representatives. Kosor thanked the US for its assistance to Croatia
in preparations to join NATO and the support for Euro-Atlantic integration. She
briefed the two Congressmen about Croatia's care for veterans and their
families, focusing on ways of dealing with veterans suffering from PTSD. The
two US officials extended further assistance to Croatia.
On Wednesday, Kosor is due to meet Secretary of Veterans Affairs James
R. Nicholson and propose the signing of an agreement on cooperation in care for
veterans.
