ZAGREB, April 12 (Hina) - The 2007 growth rate of the Croatian economy will be 4.7%, the IMF has said, confirming its forecast from September 2006. In 2008 the growth rate is expected to drop to 4.5%, according to the latest IMF World
Economic Outlook publication.

economy will be 4.7%, the IMF has said, confirming its forecast from September
2006. In 2008 the growth rate is expected to drop to 4.5%, according to the
latest IMF World Economic Outlook publication. The Croatian national
bureau of statistics recently published data showing a 4.8% GDP growth rate in
2006.
The IMF has revised the projected inflation rate for Croatia in 2007
from 2.8 to 2.7%. In 2008, the inflation rate is expected to rise to 2.8%.
The estimate on the 2007 current account deficit has been revised
upwards, from 6.8 to 8.3%. In 2008 the current account deficit is expected to
drop to 7.8%, according to the IMF.
