ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - Croatia's permanent representative to the Council of Europe, Daniel Bucan, on Wednesday signed the European Convention for the Protection of the Audiovisual Heritage and submitted a ratification instrument
for the Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said in a statement.
ZAGREB, March 28 (Hina) - Croatia's permanent representative to
the Council of Europe, Daniel Bucan, on Wednesday signed the European
Convention for the Protection of the Audiovisual Heritage and submitted a
ratification instrument for the Second Additional Protocol to the European
Convention on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters, the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and European Integration said in a statement. The
European Convention for the Protection of the Audiovisual Heritage introduces
the obligation of depositing produced and co-produced audiovisual material in
archives and ensuring its availability to the public and to academic and
scientific circles.
The Second Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Mutual
Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters aims to improve the capabilities of states
to respond to cross-border crime in the light of political, social and
technological development worldwide by broadening the spectrum of situations in
which mutual assistance may be sought and by providing faster and more
flexible assistance, the statement said.
