BELGRADE, March 27 (Hina) - Former Yugoslav defence minister
Veljko Kadijevic is not the subject of any criminal proceedings in Serbia for
now, spokesman for the War Crimes Prosecutor's Office Bruno Vekaric told B92
radio on Tuesday. Croatian prosecutors have so far not requested any
information on Kadijevic. However, considering an agreement between the two
countries on war crimes prosecution, such a request may be made at some point,
Vekaric said.
The radio noted that although General Kadijevic held a senior military
post at the start of war in Croatia in the early 1990s, he has never been
sought by the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague.
