SARAJEVO, Feb 2 (Hina) - The international supervisor for the
northeastern Bosnian district of Brcko, Raffi Gregorian, on Friday decided to
give back a building to the local Croatian Culture Society "Napredak" that was
nationalised after the Second World War. A statement issued by the
Supervisor's Office reads that the building in the centre of Brcko was given
back to the Napredak branch in Brcko as it was assessed that it would be unjust
to wait for the adoption of a restitution law on the state level.
Gregorian recalled that local Serb authorities had already ensured
restitution of the nationalised property of the local Serb Orthodox Church.
Gregorian believes that all religious communities active in the
district should be treated equally.
