ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) has
excluded the former head of the government's Office for Associations, Jadranka
Cigelj, from party ranks, Croatian Television reported on Friday.
Cigelj was excluded from the party following a recent scandal with the vetting
of candidates for the Council for the Development of Civil Society and an
argument with Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor.
Commenting on the party's decision, Cigelj said she was pleased to have
been expelled if Kosor was the reason.
Cigelj stressed that she had been one of the founders of the HDZ branch
in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
