ZAGREB, Jan 22 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks said on Monday that the results of the parliamentary elections in Serbia were expected and expressed expectation that democratic parties would form the government and not Vojislav Seselj's Radical Party, that won a majority of votes but not enough to form a government on its own.

The results results could cause uneasiness and concern in Croatia because the Serb Radical Party won the elections, the party that clearly announced revenge-seeking and territorial pretensions towards Croatia which cannot be realised without a war, Seks told Croatian Radio adding that he was confident that the Serb Radical Party would not participate in the government in Serbia.

According to the first official results released by the Serbian Election Commission, the ultranationalist SRS won the majority of the vote, 28.3 per cent, but this is not enough for it to independently form the new government. Several democratic parties together won sufficient votes to form the government, provided they settle mutual disagreements.
