Krivosic was arrested on the Bosnian-Montenegrin border crossing Trenjin-Herceg Novi as he was trying to enter Montenegro with Serbian documents earlier this summer.
"The Justice Ministry has today received official confirmation that Krivosic has been handed over to Croatia," said the ministry's spokeswoman, Vesna Dovranic, adding that the Sisak County Court was now responsible for his case.
According to Serbian media, in 1991, when he was a Serb paramilitary, Krivosic and his comrades shot dead at least 56 villagers in Bacin near the Croatian town of Hrvatska Kostajnica.
The media report that Krivosic is the third Serb suspected of war crimes to have been extradited from Montenegro to Croatia following international warrants for their arrests issued by the Croatian office of Interpol.
