The new legislation will regulate land ownership and opens up possibilities for investments thanks to the legal security of ownership.
The total area of such plots, which were not registered as part of the former social companies's capital stock during ownership transformation, is estimated at some 100 million square metres.
Presenting the bill, Justice Ministry State Secretary Tatjana Vucetic said that such a situation had so far hindered investments and lease of tourist land, consequently obstructing the offer in the tourist trade.
All parliamentary clubs, also on Tuesday, supported a bill regulating the suffrage of European Union citizens with permanent and temporary residence in Croatia after it joins the EU.
The legislation will make it possible for EU citizens to vote and be chosen in Croatia's local elections provided that they apply for their registration in voters' rosters at least 30 days before the polls.
A fire protection bill was also supported.
