The talks between Bebic and Skarphedinsson focused on bilateral relations as well as on European Union membership aspirations of the two countries, reads a press release issued by the Croatian parliament.
Bebic expressed his pleasure with being able to receive the foreign minister of Iceland which was the first country to recognise Croatia's independence.
Thanking Iceland for its support to Croatia, Bebic congratulated that northern European country for having received the status of EU candidate on 17 June.
He pointed out as a positive example the cooperation between the Croatian energy institute called "Hrvoje Pozar" and the Icelandic general engineering and consulting firm EFLA.
Minister Skarphedinsson thanked for technical assistance Croatia had offered to Iceland to fill in the European Commission (EC) questionnaire.
