Pope Benedict XVI appointed Msgr. Mijo Gorski, cannon of the Cathedral Chapter of Zagreb and head of the Archdiocesan Institution for the Upkeep of Clergy and Other Church Officials, as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Zagreb and the titular bishop of Epidaurum (Cavtat). News of the appointment was announced on May 3.
Another two auxilliary bishops in Zagreb Archdiocese are Valentin Pozaic and Ivan Sasko.
Msgr. Mijo Gorski was born on September 17, 1952 in Gora Veternicka, the Parish of Mihovljan, northern Croatia.
