Slovenian parliamentary parties officials will convene on Tuesday in Ljubljana to discuss the issue.
"I expect a majority of parties to support draft amendments to Commissioner Olli Rehn's proposal at tomorrow's meeting," Pahor told the press after meeting his French counterpart Francois Fillon in the Slovenian capital on Monday.
The French PM said he could not comment on Slovenia's intentions regarding the border dispute and Croatia's EU talks and that Paris would give its comments after Slovenia sent its response to the European Commission.
France would like to see a compromise solution and is willing to assist in efforts aimed at finding such a solution, he added.
Croatia has already expressed its agreement to Rehn's latest proposal.
Pahor and Fillon also discussed the Slovenian-French economic relations and the performance of Renault's subsidiary in the Slovenian town of Novo Mesto.
