CAKOVEC, May 13 (Hina) - The government commission in charge of monitoring the implementation of the national programme for the Roma minority on Wednesday considered reports on the implementation of projects covered by the PHARE 2005
and PHARE 2006 programmes in Medjimurje County.
CAKOVEC, May 13 (Hina) - The government commission in charge of
monitoring the implementation of the national programme for the Roma minority
on Wednesday considered reports on the implementation of projects covered by
the PHARE 2005 and PHARE 2006 programmes in Medjimurje County. In
three Roma settlements in the county - Piskorovec, Loncarevo and Pribislavec -
water supply and sanitation utilities are being constructed and the investments
are worth HRK 3.5 million, Deputy County Prefect Mladen Krizaic told the
commission's session which was held in the northern town of Cakovec.
Under PHARE 2005, a road and water supply system, worth EUR 667,000,
were built in the settlement of Parag.
Before the session, the foundation stone laying ceremony was held for
the construction of the Roma culture centre in the Kursanec settlement.
