Swedish Parliament Speaker Per Westerberg, whose country will take over the rotating presidency of the European bloc in a few days' time, holds that the issue of the border dispute between Croatia and Slovenia which is why the latter is obstructing Croatia's EU accession negotiations, should be referred to an international court, Bebic told Hina on the phone on Saturday.
"Given that the Swedish EU presidency is beginning in a few days, I have raised the issue of Slovenia's blockade of Croatia's negotiations. Westerberg agreed that it would be best to let an international court settle the problem (the border dispute)," Bebic said.
The speaker of the Hungarian national assembly, Katalin Szili, said that she strongly supported Croatia on its EU road and that she also advocated strong bilateral relations between Croatia and Hungary, said the head of the office of the Croatian Parliament (Sabor) Speaker, Miso Munivrana after the Bebic-Szili meeting in Bidapest.
