The award-giving ceremony was held on Saturday evening in Zagreb after some 450 animated short films were shown in the last five days within the 20th edition of the festival.
Zlatni Zagreb, namely "Golden Zagreb" Award for encouragement of creativity and innovative artistic achievement, went to "Please Say Something" by Irishman David O'Reilly.
"Backwards" by Aaron Hughes was the best debut production.
"Lebensader / Lifeline" by German Angela Steffen was the best in the student competition.
"Lost and Found" by Briton Philip Hunt won the Best Film for Children award.
